An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosando Cener in the 9th minute of play forced Real Sostro CF's goalkeeper Ardenko Valenčič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NK Brinje's Mauricij Lenard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bogomil Krapež in the 12 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricij Lenard during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauricij Lenard kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Real Sostro CF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Rosando Cener scored to the left of an out of position Ardenko Valenčič, making the score, 2-0. In the 37th minute, Bogomil Krapež hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rosando Cener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The Real Sostro CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ardenko Valenčič should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Rosando Cener could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Ardenko Valenčič however easily saved by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rosando Cener was the one to do the kick off. If Rosando Cener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Real Sostro CF's zone, Mauricij Lenard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ardenko Valenčič came out of the goal and Mauricij Lenard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ardenko Valenčič didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosando Cener went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Timothy Mason kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Franz Judnič sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ardenko Valenčič skillfully saved the ball. In the 69th minute, Rosando Cener left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NK Brinje fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosando Cener during the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosando Cener in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Real Sostro CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK Brinje the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Real Sostro CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Mason to maneuver through the defense. Michael Narobe hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Many of Real Sostro CF's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Real Sostro CF may have spent more time on the ball, but NK Brinje were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
