Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brecht Tombeurs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Šempeter GF's Almin Knific played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isen Čuš in the 4th minute of play. Brecht Tombeurs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evgen Gruden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Almin Knific made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, Borovnica NK's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht Tombeurs came free, but Pavli Jeromel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brecht Tombeurs in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavli Jeromel saved Borovnica NK from getting behind. Evgen Gruden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almin Knific having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnel Stonič in the 23rd minute of play forced Borovnica NK's goalkeeper Pavli Jeromel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Arnel Stonič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavli Jeromel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Borovnica NK booed when Šempeter GF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasko Žagar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes Borovnica NK got a freekick which was hit by Isen Čuš. Milovan Žak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pavli Jeromel. Borovnica NK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnel Stonič in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavli Jeromel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 minutes, Arnel Stonič made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Borovnica NK's Pavli Jeromel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Blagoje Čižman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pavli Jeromel was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Pavli Jeromel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht Tombeurs, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Borovnica NK's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht Tombeurs came free, but Pavli Jeromel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnel Stoničs short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Pavli Jeromel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Pavli Jeromel managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Šempeter GF's Arnel Stonič fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pavli Jeromel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brecht Tombeurs's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The Šempeter GF fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Šempeter GF's Arnel Stonič looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
