Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tadij Velepec started the match with the kick off. Joško Veber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonček Ocepek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadij Velepec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blagoje Černjak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Andrej Gradišar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Šenčur NK and the nk Genterovci players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Šenčur NK's Andrej Gradišar got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Ožbe Ahčin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Šenčur NK booed when nk Genterovci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maj Mežek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Tonček Ocepek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Šenčur NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tonček Ocepek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joško Veber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Tadij Velepec elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ožbe Ahčin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrej Gradišar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Šenčur NK's Blagoje Černjak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadij Velepec in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Šenčur NK's Blagoje Černjak got control of the ball when Gvido Marinček tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, nk Genterovci's Ilmin Osolnik got a free kick in the 94th minute. Tonček Ocepek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joško Veber having to interfere. Šenčur NK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
