Spectators: 7992 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tino Lipovšek kicked off to start the match. Branko Cijan scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adis Nedižavec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 6th minute, Zdravko Verderber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Julijan Pogačar made a precise shot to the right of Alaga Ožura. Newton Heath L&YR F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Julijan Pogačar struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Alaga Ožura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kobarid FC. Boštjan Podrepšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Adis Nedižavec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kobarid FC's Adem Čelebić got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Branko Cijan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newton Heath L&YR F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 27 minutes into the match, Kobarid FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boštjan Podrepšek came free, but Adis Nedižavec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Newton Heath L&YR F.C got a freekick which was hit by Karlo Borštner. In the 36th minute Tino Lipovšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alaga Ožura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boštjan Podrepšek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Newton Heath L&YR F.C's Alaga Ožura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tino Lipovšek in the 40th minute of play. Adis Nedižavec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boštjan Podrepšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boštjan Podrepšek to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kobarid FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Newton Heath L&YR F.C a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edvin Rizmal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kobarid FC's Adis Nedižavec. 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Kobarid FC's zone, Boštjan Podrepšek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adis Nedižavec came out of the goal and Boštjan Podrepšek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Miklavž Cerar fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kobarid FC's protests and gave Miklavž Cerar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Kobarid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miklavž Cerar to maneuver through the defense. Alaga Ožura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tino Lipovšek's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Adis Nedižavec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boštjan Podrepšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adis Nedižavec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boštjan Podrepšek in the 75th minute of play. Julijan Pogačar struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Alaga Ožura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tino Lipovšek in the 89th minute of the match. During the 90th minute of the match Adem Čelebić completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adem Čelebić a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st match minute, Kobarid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adem Čelebić to maneuver through the defense. Branko Cijan struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
