Kobarid FC's Adis Nedižavec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Kobarid FC from getting a goal against them. After 22 minutes, Emiljan Urbanič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kobarid FC and the NK Brinje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emiljan Urbanič kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rosando Cener recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Julijan Pogačar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izudin Koler in the 35th minute of play forced NK Brinje's goalkeeper Lari Junuzović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, NK Brinje's Višnjić Fujs got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edmund Kermavner was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rosando Cener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adis Nedižavec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

If Rosando Cener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, NK Brinje's goalkeeper Lari Junuzović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julijan Pogačar. Bore Prusnik hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kobarid FC's zone, Juraj Lampensberger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adis Nedižavec came out of the goal and Juraj Lampensberger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosando Cener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Adis Nedižavec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Rosando Cener ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adis Nedižavec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Kobarid FC booed when NK Brinje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juraj Lampensberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. NK Brinje's Lari Junuzović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tino Lipovšek in the 96th minute of play. After 97 minutes, Bore Prusnik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Brinje and the Kobarid FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th match minute, NK Brinje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bore Prusnik to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Julijan Pogačar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kobarid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julijan Pogačar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lari Junuzović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kobarid FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because NK Brinje had won, even though Kobarid FC had held more of the ball.
