Melvin Prelovšek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petko Kajtna having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Pečjak in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petko Kajtna saved NK Krka from getting behind. The supporters of NK Krka booed when Metlika was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merlin Šokčević didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Karl Pečjak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petko Kajtna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Pečjak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petko Kajtna having to make a save. Karl Pečjak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petko Kajtna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to NK Krka getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Emin Hrastnik hit a great ball. When Metlika's Melvin Prelovšek in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NK Krka's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th match minute, NK Krka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ira Pozne to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Metlika's goal looked a bit too open when Ira Pozne came free, but Negovan Mihić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emir Hmelak fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metlika's protests and gave Emir Hmelak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Metlika was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emir Hmelak to maneuver through the defense. When Karl Pečjak came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Metlika fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Pečjak couldn't finish the play. Ladko Kampjut's late challenge caught a Metlika's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladko Kampjut helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes NK Krka got a freekick which was hit by Ladko Kampjut. 40 minutes into the game, Melvin Prelovšek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Petko Kajtna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Gino Guberac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ira Pozne struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Negovan Mihić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Krka. NK Krka's Petko Kajtna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melvin Prelovšek in the 47th minute of play. After 47 played minutes NK Krka got a freekick which was hit by Argio Vukićević. After the first half Metlika were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melvin Prelovšek was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Melvin Prelovšek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petko Kajtna. Melvin Prelovšek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melvin Prelovšek in the 62nd minute of play forced NK Krka's goalkeeper Petko Kajtna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Metlika's Karl Pečjak got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiljan Berdavs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Negovan Mihić having to interfere. NK Krka's Petko Kajtna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save NK Krka from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 80 in the game by Karl Pečjak from a close distance when the talented Petko Kajtna managed to make a qualified save. NK Krka's players were relieved. Petko Kajtna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melvin Prelovšek in the 81st minute of the match. Negovan Mihić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiljan Berdavs in the 85th minute of the match. Petko Kajtna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melvin Prelovšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Melvin Prelovšek succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Metlika's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
