Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nal Kropivšek got the match started through his kick off. Konrad Šumljak was a little too slow when Kenan Peternelj got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Metlika's goal looked a bit too open when Nal Kropivšek came free, but Negovan Mihić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melvin Prelovšek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Šumljak having to interfere. Kenan Peternelj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Konrad Šumljak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Metlika's Luban Bavčar suffered a sprained foot after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 14 minutes, Mirko Erjavec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Brežice and the Metlika players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Metlika booed when NK Brežice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirko Erjavec didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, NK Brežice's Konrad Šumljak got control of the ball when Emir Hmelak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Negovan Mihić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd match minute, NK Brežice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Senad Kalamar to maneuver through the defense. Negovan Mihić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nal Kropivšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Metlika had played much better football throughout.
