The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aleksa Krupenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonček Camlek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brown Bears's Damiano Pejčić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Brown Bears from getting a goal against them. Čedo Vogrinčič hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvan Dečman during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Silvan Dečman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleksa Krupenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonček Camlek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to NK VIOLE getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rene Bovcon hit a great ball. Silvan Dečman kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, NK VIOLE's Voranc Žnidar got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Aleksa Krupenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonček Camlek in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Voranc Žnidar made a kick off. With a little luck, NK VIOLE's Aleksa Krupenko got control of the ball when Tonček Camlek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ignac Bobnar kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Tonček Camlek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aleksa Krupenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tonček Camlek in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Čedo Vogrinčič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Voranc Žnidar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinand Rojnik in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damiano Pejčić saved Brown Bears from getting behind. NK VIOLE's Voranc Žnidar got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damiano Pejčić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Voranc Žnidar in the 92nd minute of play. Aleksa Krupenko acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nedeljko Čemerika. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
