The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Christian Šivak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Greenhorns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Šivak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hektor Venek made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Vedran Oplotnik sent off a good shot on target. Tišina were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after New Greenhorns's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugen Dular took the corner. New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvedin Križman in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute Erik Šuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paskal Pregrad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Elvedin Križman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hektor Venek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paskal Pregrad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Šivak in the 28th minute of play. New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Rožman in the 32nd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mavricij Bernik was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Erik Šuster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Greenhorns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tišina the free kick. Erik Šuster hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Eugen Dular sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek didn't even have to move. A collision led to New Greenhorns getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Boban Cepec hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Tišina's goal looked a bit too open when Mavricij Bernik came free, but Paskal Pregrad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vedran Oplotnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvedin Križman in the 75th minute of play forced New Greenhorns's goalkeeper Hektor Venek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvedin Križman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hektor Venek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Greenhorns were furious when Pavel Kozina was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 87 minutes into the game, one of New Greenhorns:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eugen Dular shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Hektor Venek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vedran Oplotnik in the 92nd minute of the match. Tišina were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
