To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matijaž Skočir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maj Malovrh in the 32nd minute. Mergim KoÅ¡ak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Matijaž Skočir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maj Malovrh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matijaž Skočir having to interfere. Džerfi Žnidarec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavček Ropret having to interfere. In the 48th minute Mergim KoÅ¡ak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matijaž Skočir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maj Šlaher to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Sali Lož was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hrpelje-Kozina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Medvode the free kick. After 68 played minutes Medvode got a freekick which was hit by Ian Hribovšek. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hrpelje-Kozina's goalkeeper Slavček Ropret, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maj Šlaher was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 89th minute Maj Malovrh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matijaž Skočir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hrpelje-Kozina had won after a very even match.
