But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Črtomir Zbačnik couldn't finish the play. If Črtomir Zbačnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mirna FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tian Strle hit a great ball. Radoslav Finkšt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregorij Volmut. Mirna FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Iztok Grecs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Gratzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Lovrenc Marčič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Ivan Gratzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Gratzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute, Gottschee's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Gratzer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ivan Gratzer made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Mirna FC's Đino Džekič to fire away a dangerous shot which Iztok Grecs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gottschee's goalkeeper Iztok Grecs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iztok Grecs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaber Burnić, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Črtomir Zbačnik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 71st minute when Ivan Gratzer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 74 played minutes Mirna FC got a freekick which was hit by Tian Strle. Gregorij Volmut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lovrenc Marčič's shot from short distance in the 84th minute.
