The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismail Smole showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Tadij Zavec came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Selnica ob Dravi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadij Zavec couldn't finish the play. If Felix Vidic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Vidic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Vransko ND's goal looked a bit too open when Tadij Zavec came free, but Ismail Smole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Paščinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirsad Pajk having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Selnica ob Dravi's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Lukić came free, but Mirsad Pajk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arne Lukić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tadij Zavec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vransko ND getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tony Zorčič hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Selnica ob Dravi's zone, Christian Paščinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirsad Pajk came out of the goal and Christian Paščinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Selnica ob Dravi's Tadij Zavec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismail Smole narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute Christian Paščinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirsad Pajk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vransko ND's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Tadij Zavec scored to the left of an out of position Ismail Smole, making the score, 1-1. Mirsad Pajk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Zorčič, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Ismail Smole came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Selnica ob Dravi's Felix Vidic. But to his dismay, Felix Vidic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ismail Smole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadij Zavec in the 95th minute of the match. When Dragi Bratož fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vransko ND's protests and gave Dragi Bratož a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Vransko ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragi Bratož to maneuver through the defense. If Tadij Zavec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selnica ob Dravi played a much better game than Vransko ND and deserved their victory. The Vransko ND players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
