Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorjan Budal took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vido Kovačević kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Medvode's goal looked a bit too open when Dorjan Budal came free, but Anže Sajovec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Naim Stanišič had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anže Sajovec. Medvode's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Naim Stanišič was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Anže Sajovec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lazar Topolovec's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the Medvode defense, Naim Stanišič kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anže Sajovec. The Medvode fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anže Sajovec should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Medvode's zone, Lazar Topolovec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anže Sajovec came out of the goal and Lazar Topolovec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anže Sajovec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naim Stanišič in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Medvode getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sonny Avsenik hit a great ball. Dorjan Budal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anže Sajovec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorjan Budal, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Naim Stanišič took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anže Sajovec. Anže Sajovec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Anže Sajovec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Čepar in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Medvode's goal looked a bit too open when Lazar Topolovec came free, but Anže Sajovec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Čepar in the 37th minute of play forced Medvode's goalkeeper Anže Sajovec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Medvode got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Avsenik. In the 39th minute Jonathan Podbrežnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anže Sajovec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Sonny Avsenik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anže Sajovec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naim Stanišič, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute Lazar Topolovec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anže Sajovec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Medvode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlajko Kastelic to maneuver through the defense. Dorjan Budal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anže Sajovec having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mesud Mihovec was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Enej Stermec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anže Sajovec was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Lazar Topolovec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Dorjan Budal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medvode's Anže Sajovec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Lazar Topolovec sped through Medvode's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anže Sajovec. After 73 minutes of play, Bayer Leverkusen's Naim Stanišič made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anže Sajovec was left in no man's land by his defense there! 77 minutes into the game, Mesud Mihovec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Sreta Gorše was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dorjan Budal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Dorjan Budal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anže Sajovec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Lazar Topolovec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anže Sajovec having to make a save. Lazar Topolovec struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Anže Sajovec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bayer Leverkusen. Anže Sajovec made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Naim Stanišič sent off a good shot on target. Lan Ivnik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sreta Gorše read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
