Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Will Gates kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vransko ND's zone, Will Gates stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismail Smole came out of the goal and Will Gates tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Teos Župec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vransko ND's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hodoš the free kick. The supporters of Hodoš booed when Vransko ND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teos Župec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Beškovnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ismail Smole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hodoš getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Peter Saksida hit a great ball. Jerko Dobnik was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Will Gates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hodoš's Will Gates in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vransko ND's goalie prevented a goal. Vransko ND's Ismail Smole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Beškovnik in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Hodoš was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomaž Dobrila to maneuver through the defense. Jerko Dobnik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Gates in the 36th minute of play forced Vransko ND's goalkeeper Ismail Smole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Gates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismail Smole having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Vransko ND's goal looked a bit too open when Will Gates came free, but Ismail Smole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hodoš's Aleksander Kutnjak got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Christian Paščinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arne Lukić made a kick off. Ismail Smole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Will Gates's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Vransko ND's Ismail Smole got control of the ball when Will Gates tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Saksida struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ismail Smole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hodoš. The Hodoš fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Hodoš's Will Gates looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ismail Smole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Džan Verdev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ismail Smole managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Hodoš's Will Gates fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 82 in the game by Will Gates from a close distance when the talented Ismail Smole managed to make a qualified save. Vransko ND's players were relieved. Aleksander Kutnjak struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ismail Smole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hodoš. Will Gates who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Ismail Smole when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th match minute, Vransko ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Paščinski to maneuver through the defense. After 92 minutes, Jožef Jurčić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vransko ND and the Hodoš players grew even worse after the yellow card. 91 minutes into the game, one of Vransko ND:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the final whistle sounded Hodoš left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vransko ND.
