After 24 played minutes Kungota FC got a freekick which was hit by Emin Križan. Milorad Lampič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niko Padežnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Muharem Mohar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samel Petek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Branivoj Borišek reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Milorad Lampič. The goal made the score 4-1. Branivoj Borišek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milorad Lampič having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Kungota FC's zone, Branivoj Borišek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milorad Lampič came out of the goal and Branivoj Borišek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Branivoj Borišek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milorad Lampič was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 55 minutes of play, Kungota FC's Samel Petek made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Muharem Mohar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Šimnovec did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-3 to the left of a surprised Muharem Mohar 59 minutes into the match. If Dorian Kerbler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Branivoj Borišek made a precise shot to the right of Milorad Lampič. Kungota FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branivoj Borišek in the 71st minute of play forced Kungota FC's goalkeeper Milorad Lampič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muharem Mohar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samel Petek, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
