With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicholas Ercegović in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milorad Lampič saved Kungota FC from getting behind. After 14 played minutes, NK MONT's Ervin Slana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Milorad Lampič came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NK MONT reached it. After 23 minutes, Stevie Ridgeway mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK MONT and the Kungota FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stevie Ridgeway hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Dorian Kerbler kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Milorad Lampič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hristofor Súrbev, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Alberto Šimnovec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Miguel França made a huge save. After 42 minutes of play NK MONT's Stevie Ridgeway was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 43 played minutes NK MONT got a freekick which was hit by Stevie Ridgeway. After some careless play in the Kungota FC defense, Raphael De Lucca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milorad Lampič. The Kungota FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milorad Lampič should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael De Lucca was the one to do the kick off. Milorad Lampič was a little too slow when Raphael De Lucca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael De Lucca in the 67th minute of play forced Kungota FC's goalkeeper Milorad Lampič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Dorian Kerbler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel França was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Milorad Lampič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael De Lucca, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Raphael De Lucca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kungota FC's Milorad Lampič was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Kerbler in the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, NK MONT's Nicholas Ercegović got a free kick in the 77th minute. Raphael De Lucca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milorad Lampič having to interfere. If Raphael De Lucca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute, Milutin Strle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. NK MONT's Miguel França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samel Petek in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Raphael De Lucca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milorad Lampič was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When the match was over NK MONT could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kungota FC throughout the match.
