Luca Mihajloski made a great header on nk.topničarji's corner, it was just that Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik managed to reach the ball for a save. Simeon Plestenjak kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ordančo Virant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The nk.topničarji fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Just Šporar kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Luca Mihajloski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Ordančo Virant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miloš Sirnik. Gremio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ordančo Virant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Ordančo Virant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The nk.topničarji fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 25 played minutes nk.topničarji got a freekick which was hit by Simeon Plestenjak. Miloš Sirnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julij Klinec in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes in the game, Julij Klinec dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Miloš Sirnik came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by nk.topničarji's Samel Napotnik. But to his dismay, Samel Napotnik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After a rather tough play, Gremio FC's Valentin Vasič got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ljudevit Kogoj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, nk.topničarji's goal looked a bit too open when Ljudevit Kogoj came free, but Vasilije Kač reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Samel Napotnik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miloš Sirnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. 0-10 became the score in the 64th minute when Milutin Stojko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Gremio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ordančo Virant came free, but Miloš Sirnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milutin Stojko scored 0-11 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miloš Sirnik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Ordančo Virant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miloš Sirnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. With a little luck, Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik got control of the ball when Ordančo Virant tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Gremio FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ordančo Virant fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Gremio FC defense, Milutin Stojko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miloš Sirnik. The Gremio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miloš Sirnik should have stopped the shot. Ljudevit Kogoj kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 88 minutes, Jurij Vihernik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gremio FC and the nk.topničarji players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gremio FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Miloš Sirnik, was totally fooled by nk.topničarji's Luca Mihajloski, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience was convinced that Ordančo Virant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miloš Sirnik was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Valentin Vasič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samel Napotnik in the 96th minute of play. Miloš Sirnik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ordančo Virant showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-15 in the 98 minute of play.
