Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 12 minutes into the match, NK Idrje's Stjepan Dermastja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zekirja Kunstelj narrowly saved just below the crossbar. NK Idrje's Maurizio Majzelj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Trobina in the 13th minute of play. Adi Kugler charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adi Kugler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Rade Zmrzlak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Alben Jernejc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zekirja Kunstelj showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Slovenj Gradec:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of NK Idrje:s goal. A collision led to NK Idrje getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alben Žerak hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rade Zmrzlak in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurizio Majzelj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 minutes, Kasim Jakšić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slovenj Gradec and the NK Idrje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kasim Jakšić kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Rade Zmrzlak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Maurizio Majzelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zekirja Kunstelj made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Oliver Terzić sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rade Zmrzlak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to NK Idrje getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alben Žerak hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Terzić in the 62nd minute of play forced Slovenj Gradec's goalkeeper Zekirja Kunstelj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Slovenj Gradec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amin Nedižavec to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Slovenj Gradec's zone, Stjepan Dermastja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekirja Kunstelj came out of the goal and Stjepan Dermastja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Slovenj Gradec getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Klaudijo Grintal hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Oliver Terzić put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zekirja Kunstelj. Zekirja Kunstelj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stjepan Dermastja in the 76th minute of the match. Oliver Terzić kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Rade Zmrzlak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovenj Gradec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rade Zmrzlak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stjepan Dermastja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekirja Kunstelj having to interfere. There was no doubt that NK Idrje were the better team. NK Idrje's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
