A nice corner shot did that Voranc Polšak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zekirja Kunstelj quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Branivoj Borišek came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Słowenia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Branivoj Borišek couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Gašper Mihalek took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Zekirja Kunstelj to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 27 minutes, Rade Zmrzlak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovenj Gradec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rade Zmrzlak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Branivoj Borišek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Branivoj Borišek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gašper Mihalek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Słowenia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gašper Mihalek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zekirja Kunstelj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Słowenia FC's Niko Padežnik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zekirja Kunstelj narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zekirja Kunstelj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Branivoj Borišek in the 41st minute of the match. Branivoj Borišek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekirja Kunstelj having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rade Zmrzlak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zekirja Kunstelj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branivoj Borišek in the 51st minute of play. Zekirja Kunstelj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niko Padežnik's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Slovenj Gradec's zone, Branivoj Borišek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekirja Kunstelj came out of the goal and Branivoj Borišek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Niko Padežnik, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Zekirja Kunstelj was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Branivoj Borišek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muharem Mohar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rade Zmrzlak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zekirja Kunstelj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Padežnik in the 61st minute of the match. Branivoj Borišek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Słowenia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Rade Zmrzlak scored to the left of an out of position Muharem Mohar, making the score, 1-3. If Branivoj Borišek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gašper Mihalek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amin Nedižavec hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 86 minutes of play, Słowenia FC's Branivoj Borišek made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zekirja Kunstelj was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Branivoj Borišek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. Branivoj Borišek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekirja Kunstelj having to interfere.
