An unexpectedly hard shot by Ljudevit Kogoj in the 7th minute of play forced Slovenska Bistrica's goalkeeper Aita Zaplana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukasz Orling kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Aita Zaplana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Jankovič in the 19th minute of the match. Bor Fluher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes Slovenska Bistrica got a freekick which was hit by Mavro Primar. 26 minutes into the match, Mavro Primar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miloš Sirnik, 1-0. Mavro Primar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Gremio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ljudevit Kogoj to maneuver through the defense. Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Gremio FC from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Mavro Primar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Veno Černač sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Just Šporar during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Slovenska Bistrica's Andželin Berger was substituted for Mavro Primar. In the 41st match minute, Gremio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Just Šporar to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Slovenska Bistrica's Aldin Prelog got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andželin Berger to make the kick off. If Andželin Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, Slovenska Bistrica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andželin Berger to maneuver through the defense. Ljudevit Kogoj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasilije Hromec in the 68th minute of play. Mateusz Damaski kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Andželin Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miloš Sirnik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andželin Berger's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Vasilije Hromec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miloš Sirnik having to interfere. When Slovenska Bistrica's Aldin Prelog in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gremio FC's goalie prevented a goal. Aldin Prelog struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Miloš Sirnik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovenska Bistrica. In the 83rd minute, Andželin Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vasilije Hromec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Slovenska Bistrica players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
