Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Rade Zmrzlak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rade Zmrzlak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zekirja Kunstelj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilko Intihar in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Ribnica na Pohorju FC booed when Slovenj Gradec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amin Nedižavec didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vilko Intihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricij Rangus charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricij Rangus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ribnica na Pohorju FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mauricij Rangus hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes Slovenj Gradec got a freekick which was hit by Theodor Trobina. Mauricij Rangus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Slovenj Gradec's zone, Mervan Ahčin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekirja Kunstelj came out of the goal and Mervan Ahčin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zekirja Kunstelj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilko Intihar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Ribnica na Pohorju FC's Mervan Ahčin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zekirja Kunstelj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilko Intihar was the one to do the kick off. Franko Lukman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rade Zmrzlak in the 52nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Sonny Rovtar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slovenj Gradec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ribnica na Pohorju FC the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Slovenj Gradec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Rovtar to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Vilko Intihar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribnica na Pohorju FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilko Intihar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zekirja Kunstelj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theodor Trobina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mervan Ahčin in the 73rd minute of play forced Slovenj Gradec's goalkeeper Zekirja Kunstelj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Theodor Trobina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franko Lukman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rade Zmrzlak, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Theodor Trobina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Franko Lukman made a huge save. Vilko Intihar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Slovenj Gradec's Theodor Trobina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Franko Lukman. That made the score 2-1 after 85 minutes of play. If Rade Zmrzlak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Theodor Trobina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovenj Gradec's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodor Trobina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franko Lukman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 played minutes Ribnica na Pohorju FC got a freekick which was hit by Jadranko Tajnšek. Ribnica na Pohorju FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Slovenj Gradec for a fine match.
