Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) sveti vrh's Tihomir Gornik started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Omer Avsenik fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored sveti vrh's protests and gave Omer Avsenik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Słowenia FC booed when sveti vrh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omer Avsenik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanko Žak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gašper Mihalek went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as sveti vrh's Miodrag Kureš slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Muharem Mohar. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. Simon Mohorčič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Miodrag Kureš had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Muharem Mohar. Słowenia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miodrag Kureš was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Niko Padežnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gašper Mihalek during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Słowenia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gašper Mihalek. After a rather tough play, Słowenia FC's Branivoj Borišek got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niko Padežnik to make the kick off. Stanko Žak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gašper Mihalek in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute Tihomir Gornik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muharem Mohar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Słowenia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tihomir Gornik came free, but Muharem Mohar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanko Žak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niko Padežnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Niko Padežnik took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Stanko Žak to make any attempt to save it. Stanko Žak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niko Padežnik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tihomir Gornik in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Muharem Mohar saved Słowenia FC from getting behind. Muharem Mohar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tihomir Gornik, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Niko Padežnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanko Žak having to interfere. Luka Emeršič's late challenge caught a Słowenia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luka Emeršič helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Luka Emeršič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Niko Padežnik came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Słowenia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niko Padežnik couldn't finish the play. Stanko Žak stood somewhat misplaced when Niko Padežnik came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Branivoj Borišek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Niko Padežnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muharem Mohar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tihomir Gornik went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score.
