Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Ferdo Platiše made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute Erol Kikelj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daš Megla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Ferdo Platiše cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daš Megla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Lipica booed when NK Kranj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Medin Makuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, NK Kranj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Medin Makuc to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Ladislav Džekič shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rios Salgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ferdo Platiše took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daš Megla. Daš Megla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. During the 18th minute of the match Medin Makuc completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Medin Makuc a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, NK Kranj's Medin Makuc got a free kick in the 19th minute. Daš Megla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Živko Indihar in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Melvin Vorih dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rios Salgado, 1-2. Rios Salgado was a little too slow when Sergej Vrtačič got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdo Platiše in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daš Megla saved Lipica from getting behind. In the 38thth minute of the game Erol Kikelj who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lipica's Daš Megla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alen Višnovar during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of NK Kranj booed when Lipica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alen Višnovar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdo Platiše received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Daš Megla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Živko Indihar came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the NK Kranj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Živko Indihar couldn't finish the play. Rios Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergej Vrtačič in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vjetko Omahne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. NK Kranj's Rios Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vjetko Omahne in the 56th minute of play. Ferdo Platiše received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Daš Megla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NK Kranj's Dragoljub Kopše was substituted for Ferdo Platiše. If Dragoljub Kopše had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daš Megla was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Dragoljub Kopše capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dragoljub Kopše really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. After having played for 68 minutes, Dragoljub Kopše managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Kranj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoljub Kopše was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. NK Kranj's Dragoljub Kopše got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NK Kranj made a substitution. Neven Jambrošić replaced Božidar Jodanović. In the 76th minute, Živko Indihar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daš Megla, passed just outside the right post. Dragoljub Kopše did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-5 to the left of a surprised Daš Megla 77 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the NK Kranj defense, Vjetko Omahne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rios Salgado. The NK Kranj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rios Salgado should have stopped the shot. In the 84th match minute, NK Kranj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neven Jambrošić to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Ladislav Džekič shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rios Salgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dragoljub Kopše who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Daš Megla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dragoljub Kopše sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. NK Kranj's Erol Kikelj got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dragoljub Kopše fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daš Megla having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, NK Kranj's Dragoljub Kopše sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daš Megla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over NK Kranj could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lipica throughout the match.
