The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cveto Novinec showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, FC Koper's goal looked a bit too open when Burns Willding came free, but Cveto Novinec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Vili Aćimović managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's supporters rose to their feet, but Vili Aćimović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cveto Novinec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Vili Aćimović put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cveto Novinec. The audience was convinced that Burns Willding's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cveto Novinec was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. With an all-out effort, FC Koper's Jákó Myroforidis threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lilko Yovchev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 39 minutes into the game, Lilko Yovchev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jákó Myroforidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burns Willding's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cveto Novinec firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cveto Novinec had great luck who in the 79thth minute grab hold of the ball when Vili Aćimović from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cveto Novinec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vili Aćimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to FC Koper getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fidel Oriche hit a great ball. NK AvtoBUM Kočevje made a substitution. Jur Kropivšek replaced Cemalettin Canıtez. NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Ferdinand Repar was substituted for Edvin Veličkovič. NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
