Joga Bonito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximilian Borštner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Đuro Kaloper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximilian Borštner's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Keksi Maribor's Espiridion Dellasierra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Đuro Kaloper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 37 minutes, Maximilian Borštner made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Joga Bonito's Đuro Kaloper tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Đuro Kaloper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deni Širme, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The supporters of Joga Bonito booed when Keksi Maribor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milisav Lovrec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Đuro Kaloper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espiridion Dellasierra in the 71st minute of play. If Deni Širme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Branislav Venika kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Keksi Maribor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
