The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Felix Palmkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Bumbescu helped the player get up and apologised. 15 minutes into the match, Gunnebo IF's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Palmquist came free, but Tim Vallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nykvarn BK's Robin Palmquist got a free kick in the 17th minute. Nykvarn BK's Bengt Högström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wawrzyniec Setara in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Gunnebo IF's Wawrzyniec Setara made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt Högström was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Fernström during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nykvarn BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikael Forsell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 37th minute Wawrzyniec Setara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Högström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gunnebo IF's zone, Felix Palmkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Vallin came out of the goal and Felix Palmkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes, Gunnebo IF's Ove Caspersson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bengt Högström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gunnebo IF reached it. Bengt Högström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wawrzyniec Setara in the 46th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Palmquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 66 minutes Gunnebo IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lars Björkkvist who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Lars Björkkvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tim Vallin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 70 minutes, Felix Palmkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nykvarn BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Palmkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Palmkvist struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tim Vallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nykvarn BK. After a defensive mix-up in Nykvarn BK's zone, Wawrzyniec Setara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Högström came out of the goal and Wawrzyniec Setara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Felix Palmkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt Högström was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Wawrzyniec Setara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wawrzyniec Setara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. The Nykvarn BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gunnebo IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
