Oviken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Bennet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torbjörn Brolin was the one to do the kick off. When Sixten Larsson fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrahammar FK's protests and gave Sixten Larsson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Norrahammar FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oviken:s goal. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Oviken's Ulf Holmberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Karl-Oskar Nyman. Pontus Bennet hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Sture Anundsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oviken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norrahammar FK the free kick. A collision led to Oviken getting a freekick after 88 minutes play.
