The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Oscar Hedlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Våmhus BK and the Blixtens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Våmhus BK's Oscar Hedlund got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The supporters of Våmhus BK booed when Blixtens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Enegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Håkan Bäckman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Algot Nyman skillfully saved the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Våmhus BK's goal looked a bit too open when Yngve Albohm came free, but Anders Samuelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Thomas Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Samuelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Kent Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Melander in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anders Samuelsson saved Våmhus BK from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Thomas Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anders Samuelsson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Anders Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Albohm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Blixtens BK's Yngve Albohm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anders Samuelsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Algot Nyman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Hedlund in the 27th minute. Anders Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Albohm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Våmhus BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blixtens BK:s goal. A collision led to Våmhus BK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kent Nyström hit a great ball. Thomas Melander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Samuelsson having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Yngve Albohm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blixtens BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yngve Albohm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Våmhus BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blixtens BK were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Melander was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Yngve Albohm rounded Våmhus BK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. When Yngve Albohm came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Blixtens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yngve Albohm couldn't finish the play. Thomas Melander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Anders Samuelsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Thomas Melander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yngve Albohm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Anders Samuelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Blixtens BK booed when Våmhus BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Melander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Anders Samuelsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Östen Axelsson fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blixtens BK's protests and gave Östen Axelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Thomas Melander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 97 in the game by Thomas Melander from a close distance when the talented Anders Samuelsson managed to make a qualified save. Våmhus BK's players were relieved. When the final whistle sounded Blixtens BK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Våmhus BK.
