Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 10) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ulf Siggesson made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Muzzes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Granström came free, but Kjell Ödmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Västerås's goalkeeper Åke Danielsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kåre Hägglund. Åke Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Skröder, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Kjell Ödmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Arne Granström in the 11th minute of the match. Kåre Hägglund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kåre Hägglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjell Ödmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Persson in the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås's zone, Birger Skröder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Danielsson came out of the goal and Birger Skröder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Västerås's Jens-Ove Klint got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kåre Hägglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Kåre Hägglund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muzzes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Kåre Hägglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Danielsson having to interfere. Kenny Wik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Åke Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Muzzes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Siggesson came free, but Kjell Ödmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jonas Persson's late challenge caught a Muzzes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Persson helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes, Muzzes FC's Fabio Troiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Åke Danielsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muzzes FC reached it. Zebastian Bäckman kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Kjell Ödmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Siggesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Hägglund in the 61st minute of play forced Västerås's goalkeeper Åke Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Sven-Arne Granström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerås's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Arne Granström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Ödmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birger Skröder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Åke Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Muzzes FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Wennerquist. After a rather tough play, Muzzes FC's Birger Skröder got a free kick in the 86th minute. Kjell Ödmann made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Sven-Arne Granström sent off a good shot on target. Sven-Arne Granström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kjell Ödmann made a huge save.
