Sören Harlén might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Skräddare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sören Harlén ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sören Harlén to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Stellan Lindgren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 58 minutes into the match, Edwin Billberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Lindqvist. Team Yao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwin Billberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Henry Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stellan Lindgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Västberg in the 67th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Jens Skräddare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melker Brummer hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Martin Lövkvist's late challenge caught a Team Yao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Edwin Billberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lindqvist having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Thomas Lundqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Team Yao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hammarby IF the free kick. After 84 played minutes Team Yao got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Lundqvist.
