Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Alf Ekeberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Casper Bergvall took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sigvard Olenberg. Sigvard Olenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Casper Bergvall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan-Åke Busk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Ronny Ahlqvist made a huge save. In the 15th minute Casper Bergvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Olenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Young Boys's Alf Ekeberg got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Hammar's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Ekeberg came free, but Sigvard Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Henriques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Ronny Ahlqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sigvard Olenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Igelström kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Roger Alegren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hammar's goalkeeper Sigvard Olenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Ekeberg in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigvard Olenberg saved Hammar from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Hammar's zone, Alf Ekeberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sigvard Olenberg came out of the goal and Alf Ekeberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronny Ahlqvist was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Vicente Henriques capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vicente Henriques really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Henriques to make the kick off. If Jack Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigvard Olenberg made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Casper Bergvall sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, Jack Bergman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sigvard Olenberg, 1-2. Kåre Dahlkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Hammar's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Ekeberg came free, but Sigvard Olenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Bergvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Olenberg having to interfere. The supporters of Young Boys booed when Hammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Lluterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Ingvar Igelström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hammar's goalkeeper Sigvard Olenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronny Ahlqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Henriques went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Hammar defense, Casper Bergvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sigvard Olenberg. The Hammar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigvard Olenberg should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute Vicente Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigvard Olenberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alf Ekeberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 82 minute of play. Young Boys's Simon Österlund was substituted for Casper Bergvall. Melker Rosin scored 2-6 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sigvard Olenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
