The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anastasio Mateus hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Jan-Erik Lööf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Eliasson in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Team DPP's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrik Lagerberg came free, but Jan-Erik Lööf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Edmund Eliasson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Erik Lööf. Team DPP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Eliasson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Malå's Sven-Olof Forssell got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ali Karimi scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Lööf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Malå's Edmund Eliasson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Malå got a freekick which was hit by August Johnsson. The Team DPP players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Malå were winning 0-2.

Team DPP's Jan-Erik Lööf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Team DPP from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Anastasio Mateus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Malå's Edmund Eliasson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Erik Lööf. Jan-Erik Lööf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Malå's Sven-Olof Forssell got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute, Malå's Ulrik Lagerberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Erik Lööf. Jan-Erik Lööf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Edmund Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Team DPP's Jan-Erik Lööf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Lagerberg in the 80th minute of play. Jan-Erik Lööf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Karimi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Lööf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Karimi in the 83rd minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, Malå's Ali Karimi made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Erik Lööf was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Malå eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
