Hans Gustavsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ingmar Blom. Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hakenäset BF's zone, Jens-Ola Strömbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ragnar Aleberg came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Strömbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes, Sven-Olof Lundgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hakenäset BF and the Åshöjdens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Åshöjdens BK booed when Hakenäset BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingmar Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aivar Olt in the 12th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Sven-Olof Lundgren put in a rough tackle. 13 minutes into the game, one of Hakenäset BF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 24 minutes into the game, Björn Bock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ingmar Blom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ingvar Eliasson hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Aivar Olt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eric Wallengren scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingmar Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute John Eklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingmar Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingmar Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Bock, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Björn Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ingmar Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ola Strömbom made a kick off. Ulf Öberg struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ingmar Blom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hakenäset BF. If Björn Bock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Fred Hegg had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The supporters of Åshöjdens BK booed when Hakenäset BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aivar Olt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hakenäset BF made a substitution. Joe van Elderen replaced Aivar Olt. Aivar Olt kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Fred Hegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Eric Wallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hakenäset BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Wallengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Blom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Ingmar Blom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Björn Bock. Eric Wallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingmar Blom having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Åshöjdens BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Björn Bock fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Björn Bocks short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Ingmar Blom to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 88 minutes, Fred Hegg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åshöjdens BK and the Hakenäset BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Åshöjdens BK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fred Hegg hit a great ball. Björn Bock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åshöjdens BK's Ingmar Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Wallengren in the 92nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Ingmar Blom successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Åshöjdens BK's Ingvar Eliasson got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hakenäset BF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
