Rogelio Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Per Rudkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Möllgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joar Törnqvist came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Talangens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joar Törnqvist couldn't finish the play. Bertil Helström was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Talangens BK! Matthias Åhman had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Åke Axelsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Real Madrid C.F's Arman Barck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matthias Åhman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Talangens BK's Alfred Thidén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Sjögren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matthias Åhman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Hedvall in the 30th minute of the match. Egil Sjögren came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Talangens BK's Stig-Ove Möllgren. But to his dismay, Stig-Ove Möllgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Talangens BK's Alfred Thidén got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Real Madrid C.F's goal looked a bit too open when Joar Törnqvist came free, but Egil Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Sebastian Hedvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Åhman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedro Aresti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Rudkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Talangens BK's Rogelio Ramos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Matthias Åhman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Åke Axelsson. Orvar Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Åhman having to interfere. Matthias Åhman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman Barck in the 71st minute of play. When Orvar Kilström came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Real Madrid C.F fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orvar Kilström couldn't finish the play. Stig-Ove Möllgren kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Pedro Aresti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talangens BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Möllgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egil Sjögren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Ove Möllgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egil Sjögren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Ove Möllgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Kim Alströmmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talangens BK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
