Jens Norberg hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Karl-Magnus Lång shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Anselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Karl-Magnus Lång sped through Sörns FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John Anselius. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güner Özol in the 16th minute of play forced Sörns FC's goalkeeper John Anselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Magnus Lång received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. John Anselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Christopher Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunds FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Clementsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Anselius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Magnus Lång fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Anselius having to interfere. John Anselius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Magnus Lång's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Agne Andersson struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. John Anselius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunds FC. The Lunds FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Lunds FC's Karl-Magnus Lång looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Sörns FC booed when Lunds FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball.

In the 53rd match minute, Sörns FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Stenqvist to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Karl-Magnus Lång got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Karl-Magnus Lång's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Anselius was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the game, Karl-Magnus Lång lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated John Anselius. John Anselius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Magnus Lång's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Christopher Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Anselius having to interfere. Karl-Magnus Lång fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Anselius having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Magnus Lång in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Anselius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Calatayud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Rosin in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Lunds FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sörns FC.
