Spectators: 5013 (Terracing: 4004, Seating: 1007, VIP seats: 2) An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Fritz Åberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 8th match minute, GÖTEBORG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. David Östman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the GÖTEBORG defense, David Östman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Bergdal. The GÖTEBORG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Bergdal should have stopped the shot. If Rickard Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Östman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Bergdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Inter milan's Allan Svensson got control of the ball when Fritz Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute David Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Bergdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, David Östman made a precise shot to the right of Roger Bergdal. GÖTEBORG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Allan Svensson was a little too slow when Walter Barck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-2. Rickard Nyberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Bergdal having to interfere. When David Östman came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Inter milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Östman couldn't finish the play. After 41 minutes, Bo Carlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÖTEBORG and the Inter milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bo Carlsson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Fritz Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rickard Nyberg to make the kick off. GÖTEBORG's Roger Bergdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save GÖTEBORG from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Nyberg in the 55th minute of play forced GÖTEBORG's goalkeeper Roger Bergdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Rickard Nyberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Bergdal. Rickard Nyberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Fritz Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Inter milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Lägdin to maneuver through the defense. Fritz Åberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Allan Svensson having to make a save. If Georg Albohm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fritz Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Allan Svensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Östman came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roger Bergdal could save by the left post. David Östman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bo Carlsson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, David Östman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Roger Bergdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Agne Bäcklin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Inter milan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Inter milan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
