Spectators: 5013 (Terracing: 4004, Seating: 1007, VIP seats: 2) Fritz Åberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 5 minutes, Fabian Svanberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Medina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Svanberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fritz Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Örjan Dahlberg fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Medina's protests and gave Örjan Dahlberg a yellow card for diving instead. Örjan Dahlberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, GÖTEBORG's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Kråk came free, but Roger Bergdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Einar Kråk managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Medina's supporters rose to their feet, but Einar Kråk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Bergdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to GÖTEBORG getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Walter Barck hit a great ball. Fritz Åberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but August Joensson firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Medina's August Joensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Barck in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Godholm during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When FC Medina's Einar Kråk in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GÖTEBORG's goalie prevented a goal. Fabian Svanberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Bergdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, GÖTEBORG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Åberg to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Svanberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Bergdal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabian Svanberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Einar Kråk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Bergdal having to interfere. Fritz Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Joensson having to interfere. In the 38th minute Fabian Svanberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Bergdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Bergdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einar Kråk in the 40th minute of play. Fabian Svanberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Einar Kråk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo Godholm kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Einar Kråk made the kick off in the second half. Kåre Ugla's late challenge caught a GÖTEBORG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kåre Ugla helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes FC Medina got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Ugla. Roger Bergdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Svanberg in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, GÖTEBORG's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Kråk came free, but Roger Bergdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GÖTEBORG's Fritz Åberg got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Einar Kråk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Kråk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, GÖTEBORG's goalkeeper Roger Bergdal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Svanberg. The supporters of FC Medina booed when GÖTEBORG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Medina's Einar Kråk got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, GÖTEBORG's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Kråk came free, but Roger Bergdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Roger Bergdal managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when FC Medina's Einar Kråk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. GÖTEBORG were furious when Harald Matsson was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Fabian Svanberg sped through GÖTEBORG's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roger Bergdal. Roger Bergdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einar Kråk in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Svanberg got free with Roger Bergdal in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Kåre Ugla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Einar Kråk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Bergdal. That made the score 1-4 in the 98 minute of play. FC Medina's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
