Anders Bergsten was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Crawford Mclatchey showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Anders Bergsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crawford Mclatchey, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Wallin made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Contrast's Emil Högström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Crawford Mclatchey got free with Anders Bergsten in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Veberöd FF getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Johan Lund hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Veberöd FF's goalkeeper Erling Danielsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Crawford Mclatchey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veberöd FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Crawford Mclatchey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 minutes of play, Veberöd FF's Crawford Mclatchey made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anders Bergsten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michael Kullander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Erling Danielsson made a huge save. Emil Wallin's late challenge caught a Contrast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Wallin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Veberöd FF getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emil Wallin hit a great ball. Anders Bergsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crawford Mclatchey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Eskil Hääger took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Erling Danielsson to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Veberöd FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Contrast had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
