The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frans Mogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Bjurström, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joacim Lindholm in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frans Mogren saved FC Barcelona B from getting behind. In the 13th minute Filip Dahlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Spets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Mikael Bjurström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frans Mogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Bjurström in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Joacim Lindholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frans Mogren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 26 played minutes FC Barcelona B got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Hedman. 32 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona B's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Lindholm came free, but Frans Mogren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joacim Lindholm took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frans Mogren. Frans Mogren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Örnsköldsvik RK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Torsten Carlsson hit a great ball. Torsten Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joacim Lindholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikael Bjurström struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Frans Mogren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örnsköldsvik RK. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joacim Lindholm in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frans Mogren saved FC Barcelona B from getting behind. After the first half Örnsköldsvik RK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Joacim Lindholm made the kick off in the second half. When Mikael Bjurström came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Örnsköldsvik RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Bjurström couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Bjurström got free with Frans Mogren in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joacim Lindholm hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Mikael Bjurström's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona B's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikael Bjurström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Barcelona B booed when Örnsköldsvik RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Bjurström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 minutes, Andreas Hagström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona B and the Örnsköldsvik RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes FC Barcelona B got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Hagström. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona B's zone, Jörgen Kellbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Mogren came out of the goal and Jörgen Kellbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fredrik Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikael Bjurström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Frans Mogren made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona B's Carl Hård got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A collision led to FC Barcelona B getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Fredrik Hedman hit a great ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Joacim Lindholm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona B's Frans Mogren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joacim Lindholm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frans Mogren came out and tried to block the shot, but Joacim Lindholm slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 89th minute. When the match was over Örnsköldsvik RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Barcelona B throughout the match.
