An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Levander in the 4th minute of play forced Högvad BK's goalkeeper Henry Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Högvad BK's Oscar Finman suffered a sore foot after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Högvad BK made a substitution. Gösta Dalman replaced Oscar Finman. Hamra's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jan-Erik Runeberg 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Högvad BK's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Qvarnström came free, but Henry Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingemar Hydén was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Jan-Erik Runeberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan-Erik Runeberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Henry Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Qvarnström in the 18th minute of play. Ingemar Hydén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Runeberg's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Henry Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd match minute, Högvad BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Kellman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Hamra's zone, Jan-Erik Runeberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Hydén came out of the goal and Jan-Erik Runeberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Kling in the 32nd minute of the match. Per-Arne Levander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Henry Lund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrik Qvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Levander in the 38th minute of play forced Högvad BK's goalkeeper Henry Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Erik Runeberg in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingemar Hydén prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Högvad BK booed when Hamra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Kling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Arne Levander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lund having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Johnsson in the 47th minute of play forced Högvad BK's goalkeeper Henry Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Kling in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Qvarnström to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Högvad BK defense, Per-Arne Levander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henry Lund. The Högvad BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Lund should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Hamra's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Runeberg came free, but Ingemar Hydén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamra were furious when Thomas Björkkvist was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Hamra's Thomas Björkkvist got a free kick in the 85th minute. It was beautiful to see Högvad BK's Sakarias Wennerberg in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Ahlfors during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamra's goalkeeper Ingemar Hydén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Hamra's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Oskar Gustafsson came free, but Ingemar Hydén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Per-Arne Levander made a precise shot to the right of Henry Lund. Högvad BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
