In the 4th minute Rasmus Deckbergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Svartengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rasmus Deckbergh took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evert Svartengren. Evert Svartengren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Evert Svartengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Johnsson in the 11th minute of the match. After 12 minutes of play, Nantes's Rasmus Deckbergh made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Svartengren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Dala-Järna's zone, Pär Fredriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Svartengren came out of the goal and Pär Fredriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Sture Johnsson put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Evert Svartengren. Rasmus Deckbergh kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Dala-Järna booed when Nantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gizon Puerta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Fagrell having to interfere. Rasmus Deckbergh might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evert Svartengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rasmus Deckbergh ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Rasmus Deckbergh notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Dala-Järna's Evert Svartengren. Evert Svartengren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Pär Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nantes's Herman Fagrell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Nantes from getting a goal against them. Pär Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Svartengren having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gizon Puerta made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Nantes got a freekick which was hit by Sture Johnsson. Herman Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazimierz Damazki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Nantes got a freekick which was hit by Erling Vase. In the 56th match minute, Nantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Vase to maneuver through the defense. Pär Fredriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pär Fredriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pär Fredriksson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evert Svartengren having to make a save. The supporters of Nantes booed when Dala-Järna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Johansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herman Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert Svartengren came out of the goal and Sture Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nantes's Sture Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herman Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gizon Puerta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dala-Järna's Kazimierz Damazki in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nantes's goalie prevented a goal. Herman Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Nantes got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Bern. A collision led to Dala-Järna getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. David Sundström hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Dala-Järna's David Sundström got a free kick in the 91st minute. 97 minutes into the match, Dala-Järna's goalkeeper Evert Svartengren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pär Fredriksson. When the match was over Nantes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dala-Järna throughout the match.
