Oscar Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Hellkvist in the 4th minute of play. If Tomas Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Biörnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Östensson in the 10th minute of the match. Oscar Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Östensson in the 17th minute of play. When Tomas Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vederslöv FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Hellkvist in the 30th minute of play forced New York Rangers's goalkeeper Oscar Biörnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Biörnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Lundqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tomas Lundqvist made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Lundqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Biörnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Vederslöv FF's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Danielsson came free, but Tomas Tingelholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New York Rangers's Oscar Biörnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Lundqvist in the 56th minute of play. Oscar Biörnberg was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Tomas Lundqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Lundqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. William Henriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Henriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in New York Rangers's zone, Emanuel Västlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Biörnberg came out of the goal and Emanuel Västlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Biörnberg came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Vederslöv FF's Stig-Åke Östensson. But to his dismay, Stig-Åke Östensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After having played for 68 minutes, Tomas Lundqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vederslöv FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Lundqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Tomas Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Biörnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, New York Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Lundqvist came free, but Oscar Biörnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. New York Rangers's Joakim Nordgren got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Tingelholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Danielsson in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Manfred Danielsson made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Tingelholm. Vederslöv FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils-Åke Viberg during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Joakim Nordgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Tingelholm was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Vederslöv FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
