In the 15th minute, Jimmie Kuse made a precise shot to the right of Linus Hult. Hyllinge FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 20th minute Christer Wassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingmar Jonasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hyllinge FK booed when Hammarby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Alegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hammarby's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tobias Josefsson 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Ingmar Jonasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Wassenius in the 25th minute of the match. Ingmar Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 29 minutes, Karl-Magnus Sävström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Magnus Sävström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Linus Hult made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Kuse in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Karl-Magnus Sävström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Linus Hult was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the match, Hammarby's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Wassenius came free, but Ingmar Jonasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingmar Jonasson made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Christer Wassenius sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jimmie Kuse sped through Hyllinge FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Linus Hult. In the 48th minute, Hyllinge FK's Christer Wassenius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Josefsson made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Hammarby's Linus Hult threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jimmie Kuse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Linus Hult made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Kuse in the 62nd minute of play. Hyllinge FK's Linus Hult played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Sävström in the 65th minute of play. When Jimmie Kuse came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Hammarby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmie Kuse couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, Jimmie Kuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Linus Hult was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jimmie Kuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hammarby's David Pihlblad was substituted for Stig-Åke Torsberg. The supporters of Hammarby booed when Hyllinge FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Tobias Josefsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarby's Ingmar Jonasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Hyllinge FK booed when Hammarby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Kuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Vallmark's late challenge caught a Hammarby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Vallmark helped the player get up and apologised. Hammarby made a substitution. Hubert Olsson replaced Ludvig Alebäck. After 94 minutes of play, Hyllinge FK's Aron Vallmark made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ingmar Jonasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmie Kuse in the 98th minute of play forced Hyllinge FK's goalkeeper Linus Hult to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hammarby had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
