Claes Helander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Linné City's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Winström came free, but Claes Helander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Friberger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fredrik Wallman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Leonardo Friberger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evert Skytt in the 23rd minute. Stig-Åke Fagrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Helander having to interfere. Evert Skytt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evert Skytt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Leonardo Friberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Friberger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredrik Wallman's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Linné City's Evert Skytt in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stensjön's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute Fredrik Wallman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linné City's Ingmar Hult managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stig-Arne Henriksson in the 41 minute of the game. Fredrik Wallman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leonardo Friberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evert Skytt to strike the kick off in the second half. Stensjön's Leonardo Friberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Skytt in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Klas Rosén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Vester in the 55th minute of play forced Stensjön's goalkeeper Leonardo Friberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoffer Uggstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Fredrik Wallman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stensjön's zone, Fredrik Wallman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Friberger came out of the goal and Fredrik Wallman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Evert Skytt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stensjön's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Per-Arne Wennersten was slow to take the kick. During this time Linné City's players had a chance to rest. Fredrik Wallman was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Evert Skytt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Skytt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Friberger having to interfere. Fredrik Wallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonardo Friberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Wallman in the 83rd minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Linné City's goalkeeper Claes Helander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Åke Fagrell. Evert Skytt struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Leonardo Friberger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linné City. Klas Rosén kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Linné City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
