When Jerry Melander fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gäddede's protests and gave Jerry Melander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Gäddede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Melander to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, Ted IF's Jan-Olof Öberg made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Rune Söderberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Sivert Eliasson notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Gäddede's Bengt-Rune Söderberg. Bengt-Rune Söderberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the match, Ted IF's goalkeeper Kenny Ahlén had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niklas Asserlind. After 41 played minutes Ted IF got a freekick which was hit by Sivert Eliasson. Christian Åkerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Ahlén having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niklas Asserlind to make the kick off. Niklas Asserlind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Ahlén having to interfere. Jerry Melander was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Niklas Asserlind sped through Ted IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kenny Ahlén. Christian Åkerman hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Kenny Ahlén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Asserlind, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Ted IF defense, Niklas Asserlind kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenny Ahlén. The Ted IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenny Ahlén should have stopped the shot. Niklas Asserlind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Kenny Ahlén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Niklas Asserlind put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kenny Ahlén. Kenny Ahlén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklas Asserlind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Gäddede players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
