After 5 minutes of play, Mjällom's Tony Legg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. HV72's Martin Ahlström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl-Axel Nyqvist succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. If Karl-Axel Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mjällom's Karl-Ove Helström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Blomquist in the 27th minute of play. Amos Addaris short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Martin Ahlström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Bengtsson got free with Karl-Ove Helström in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mjällom's Karl-Axel Nyqvist in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HV72's goalie prevented a goal. Malte Sundling was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Valter Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HV72's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valter Bengtsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of HV72 booed when Mjällom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Mager didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Karl-Axel Nyqvist came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Mjällom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Axel Nyqvist couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the game, Mikael Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HV72's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mjällom the free kick. A collision led to HV72 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mikael Dahlberg hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in HV72's zone, Karl-Axel Nyqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Ahlström came out of the goal and Karl-Axel Nyqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, one of HV72:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HV72. After 99 minutes HV72's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Orvar Ahlkvist who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mjällom's Tony Legg to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Ahlström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 101 minutes into the match, Karl-Axel Nyqvist notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of HV72's Martin Ahlström. Martin Ahlström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mjällom had played much better football throughout.
