Real Malmö's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nils Arenstedt hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ulrik Joensson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Lundström. Roger Lundström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Finnvedens FF booed when Real Malmö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Börje Wassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Max Bergman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Kleen's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Max Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Kleen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Malmö's Roger Lundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Joensson in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Finnvedens FF's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Kleen came free, but Max Bergman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arvin Tunström fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Malmö's protests and gave Arvin Tunström a yellow card for diving instead. Börje Wassenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 48 minutes into the game, Tony Kleen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Max Bergman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulrik Joensson made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulrik Joensson in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Lundström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andréas Lindberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Real Malmö's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Vallengren came free, but Roger Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Arenstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Arenstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nils Arenstedt hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Finnvedens FF's Max Bergman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Finnvedens FF from getting a goal against them. After 96 minutes of play, Finnvedens FF's Ulrik Joensson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Lundström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Real Malmö defense, Ulrik Joensson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Lundström. The Real Malmö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Lundström should have stopped the shot. Many of Real Malmö's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Real Malmö may have spent more time on the ball, but Finnvedens FF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
