Johnny Westerberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrik Pettersson went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 6 minutes, Axel Nyberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Madrid and the Tidan IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Biörkquist in the 12th minute of play forced FC Madrid's goalkeeper Johnny Westerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Pettersson got free with Johnny Westerberg in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Madrid's Axel Nyberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 21st minute. The referee ordered Axel Nyberg off the ground. The supporters of Tidan IF booed when FC Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Nyberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Pettersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Westerberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Biörkquist to make the kick off. Johnny Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Pettersson in the 52nd minute of play. In the 61st minute Michael Biörkquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Michael Biörkquist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tidan IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 4-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Patrik Pettersson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Johnny Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Vallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Johnny Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Biörkquist in the 72nd minute of play. Sivert Tillman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Albert Lidström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tidan IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Madrid's Albert Lidström got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Victor Vallman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Johnny Westerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Tidan IF were the better team. Tidan IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
