Viksjö IK's Per Mellbad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Kilman in the 33rd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Göteborg Redbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Lund came free, but Gustaf Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Mellbad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hubert Säv in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Mattias Olofsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Andy Alefors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Gustaf Ekegren made a huge save. The Göteborg Redbulls fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Göteborg Redbulls's Hubert Säv looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Per Mellbad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viksjö IK's Per Mellbad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Säv in the 90th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hubert Säv's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per Mellbad was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
