Andy Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikael Göransson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Frank Stenström's late challenge caught a Ljungby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Stenström helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vikbolandet BF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Frank Stenström hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Ljungby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Ålberg to maneuver through the defense. Emil Collin kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Andy Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Vikbolandet BF's Mikael Göransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Vikbolandet BF from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the game, Olov Allbom recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mikael Göransson. Olov Allbom showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some careless play in the Vikbolandet BF defense, Olov Allbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikael Göransson. The Vikbolandet BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikael Göransson should have stopped the shot. Frank Malmberg scored 2-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fredrik Skark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Vikbolandet BF's Ove Nässén got a free kick in the 40th minute. Frank Malmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Stenström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fredrik Skark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Sjöberg made a kick off. Mikael Göransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Allbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Ålberg took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikael Göransson. Mikael Göransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Andy Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Mikael Göransson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungby. In the 72nd minute, Olov Allbom made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Göransson. Vikbolandet BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Mikael Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Hellsing in the 80th minute of play. Valdemar Ålberg took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikael Göransson. Mikael Göransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. After a rather tough play, Ljungby's Andy Sjöberg got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, Vikbolandet BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Asmundsson to maneuver through the defense. Mikael Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Vikbolandet BF's Mikael Göransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villiam Hellsing in the 96th minute of play. After 98 played minutes, Ljungby's Roland Malm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mikael Göransson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ljungby reached it. Vikbolandet BF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
